Rainer’s German heritage gets credit for the 13 letters in his surname and his time at the University of Montana for his fondness of the Grizzlies. He started his career in 1985 with IDS/American Express then moved to Bank of America Investments where he was promoted to Senior Vice President. In 1999, Rainer joined Northwestern Mutual and has consistently been one of the top 100 investment producers in the country.
Rainer’s analytical strength helps him to be objective and understand how certain patterns affect one another. He and his wife, Carol, have two daughters, Lauren and Hannah Claire. He still speaks German fluently, enjoys a good joke, and spends as much time as he can with his family in the Outer Banks.

Jarrod grew up near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating from The University of Virginia, he chose to make Charlottesville his home, where he started his Northwestern Mutual business in 2002.
Jarrod’s greatest strength is recognizing the unique qualities of each person. This helps him to create a customized financial plan based on individual style, motivation, and desire.
Jarrod enjoys spending time with his wife Samantha, daughter Veda, and son Arlo. He also likes reading about neuroscience, being a technophile, watching mixed martial arts, and occasionally playing golf.

Nipa grew up in India and calls Chicago home for last 23 years. She earned her bachelors in Computer Science from University of IL at Chicago and MBA from DePaul University. After running a global Information Security firm for 17+ years, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion for understanding the intersection of money & human behavior. She earned her Graduate Certificate in Financial Therapy in 2021 and is a Board Member of Financial Therapy Association.
In her role as COO, she focuses on aligning and leading firm operations that help lead to best outcomes for our clients.
She enjoys coaching her kids’ soccer teams and occasionally dabbles in baking and pour painting.

Megan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Roanoke College in 2011 with a double major in Business Administration and Economics. Megan started her Northwestern Mutual career as a College Intern. She joined CrossPoint in 2015.
One of Megan’s greatest strengths is her ability to take control of a situation and make decisions. She is also especially adept at dealing with problems by figuring out what is wrong and resolving it.
Megan lives with her husband, Andrew, and daughter, Emma, in Richmond, Virginia. In her spare time, Megan enjoys building her culinary skills, reading thrillers, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends and family on the James and Rappahannock Rivers.
Stephanie Howard , RICP®
Director of Operations and Client Service

Stephanie joined Northwestern Mutual in 2001. Originally from Southwest Virginia, she earned her B.A. in business administration. Stephanie is an entrepreneur by nature. In addition to her full-time work schedule, she has started and maintained a successful virtual assistant company since 2010.
One of Stephanie’s greatest strengths is her inquisitive nature. She enjoys collecting information, facts, books, and quotations. She enjoys hiking, painting, reading, and University of Virginia Lacrosse. An avid fan of all music, Stephanie often can be found at local venues enjoying all that the Charlottesville music scene has to offer.

Jasmyn is a 2019 Virginia Tech graduate with a B.S. in Business, Finance, and the prestigious CFP® Certification Option. Jasmyn served as the Vice President of the Financial Planning Association Student Chapter.
Jasmyn brings a strong vision of the future and what is possible to the planning team. Helping people was a very important consideration in her decision to pursue financial planning. She enjoys hearing about experiences that make people who they are. Her career goal is to combine her empathic interest in others with her desire to help others in their financial and personal lives.

Susanne joined Northwestern Mutual in 2001 and Jarrod’s team in 2003. After taking time off to raise her four children, Susanne rejoined our team in 2017. Susanne earned a bachelor’s degree at Randolph Macon College.
When our team is busy, Susanne stays calm and works to keeps things in order. Susanne brings steadiness to our team and develops strong relationships with team members and clients.
Susanne enjoys spending time with family, taking an occasional art class, traveling, and UVA basketball.

Kate is a Virginia Tech graduate with a B.S. in Finance. While in Blacksburg, she was a member of the Financial Planning Association Student Chapter.
One of Kate’s greatest strengths is her desire to continually learn and grow in all aspects of her life. She is excited to join CrossPoint and to cultivate the skills needed to become a leader in the Financial Planning profession. Kate’s authenticity and detail-oriented nature allows her to use her skills to work with clients to understand how a comprehensive financial plan can impact their lives.
In her free time, Kate enjoys listening to podcasts, reading, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends

Ryan is a 2020 Virginia Tech graduate with a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in CFP® Certification. Ryan recently passed the CFP® Certification Exam and will obtain his marks in the coming months. Originally an intern scribe for CrossPoint Wealth Partners, Ryan has re-joined the team as a Resident.
Confidently using his technical acumen and puzzle-solving skills, Ryan works with clients to find holistic solutions that are unique to clients’ needs and goals. Ryan's passion for financial planning developed after seeing firsthand the impact that the lack of planning can have on close relatives. Wanting to help individuals and families avoid similar problems, Ryan decided to pursue a career as a Certified Financial Planner.
Currently residing in Honolulu, Hawaii, Ryan can be found surfing or relaxing on the beach after work, or spending time with his cat, Kukui.

Rich is a Virginia Tech graduate with a B.S. in Finance. He strongly believes in power of Financial Planning. He chose this profession to help clients reach their life goals and gain freedom from the anxiety and overwhelm often associated with personal finances. As an integral part of our team, He delivers the high-quality service our clients deserve.
Even after backpacking solo across Europe for four months, he still has a lot of the world to see. Unexplored frontiers next on the list include Spain, Portugal and much of Eastern Europe. At heart, he is a scruffy vagabond with a penchant for meditation and philosophy. He also enjoys spending time with friends, photography, and all things music.
